The Rams toyed with the idea of playing or not playing star players for the past few days, and today it’s official that at least four of the teams better players will sit for Sunday’s game against the 49ers.
Among those sitting are quarterback Jared Goff, running back Todd Gurley, offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth, and center John Sullivan. Expect more Rams starters to get the day off as well, as there’s no reason to get players injured in what will wind up being a meaningless game for Los Angeles.
