Posted in Just a few minutes after writing the previous post not knowing the status of GM Billy Devaney, ESPN’s report from last night has been confirmed by Michael Lombardi of the NFL Network. Billy Devaney joins head coach Steve Spagnuolo on the unemployment line as owner Stan Kroenke is totally rebuilding his football operations less than 2 years after taking over as full owner of the Rams.
Devaney heralded over many bad years and all the progress that looked evident last year fell completely apart this year and the arrow for the franchise is pointing down again. Devaney was ultimately responsible for the roster and drafting for the Rams and over the past 4 years and the Rams have slightly improved the roster, but not nearly enough as the product on the field has regressed horribly.
No word on who the Rams will be looking to replace their head coach and GM and if there will be one person who will fill both openings.
