St. Louis trades the No. 1 overall pick to the Cleveland Browns for the No. 7 pick and two third round picks. Holmgren gets what he wants, and the Rams have a lot more room to play within the draft.
If the Rams are going to trade the #1 pick, GM Billy Devaney has stated that he needs “a king’s ransom” and the 7th overall and two 3rd round picks is NOT a king’s ransom … by a long shot. Sorry, Samuel Ingro, you are going to have to come a little bit harder than that.
to quote Tom Waits, “in the land of the blind the one-eyed man is king.” you’d have to be nearly blind to accept that as a king’s ransom.
Seahawks have 2 first round picks. Maybe those plus more for our #1?
