Rams Sign Mr. Gado, Promote Mr. Irrelevant
One move was obvious, the other not so obvious as the Rams moved David Vobora up from the practice squad and picked up free agent running back Samkon Gado to provide depth at running back with Jackson, Pittman and Minor hurt.
I would like to see Vobora play because he does have quite a bit of [...]
Rams resign Fakhir Brown
The Rams announced the resigning of cornerback Fakhir Brown today, as the Rams cornerbacks continue to get thinnner and thinner. This was a no-brainer for the Rams brain trust ( Haslett and Devaney *thank god!*) as Brown was uncerimoniously dumped by ex-head coach Scott Linehan in a failed attempt to shake up the team before [...]
Posted by Jeff Roman on Oct 13 2008Rams Release, Resign Kennison
The Rams released Eddie Kennison on Wednesday, only to resign him soon after. The Rams released him and were poised to activate Derek Stanley from the practice squad, but they got word on Dane Looker’s health and promptly resigned Kennison to provide depth in the defensive backfield.
Eddie was signed a few weeks into the [...]
Rams Add WR Jones to Practice Squad
The Rams are adding wide receiver Nate Jones to their practice squad. Jones, out of the University of Texas, was in Minnesota’s training camp this summer. Jones was one of three players at Rams Park for workouts and physicals Tuesday.

The Trent Green Experiment is now officially over as Marc Bulger took over as the signal-caller on Tuesday in practice. Rumors were circling that now that Jim Haslett had been named interim head coach that Bulger would also be back in at QB. This is a good move as Green showed his [...]

According to Bill Coats at Around the Horns blog on Stltoday.com, the Rams will have five new starters on defense in week 4. I’ll quote Bill, and then give my reactions to each one.
*Cornerback Fakhir Brown, who started in Tye Hill’s place Sunday at Seattle, was released Wednesday morning. Hill was back in the lineup at practice.
*Clifton Ryan was at [...]
Fakhir Brown Cut
The “changes” in the offense complete, the eye now turns to the defense and Fakhir Brown has been cut by the Rams. Fakhir is the scapegoat for the defense and as with Bulger with the offense.
I feel like a broken record, but Fakhir Brown was far from good this year, both I don’t think he [...]
Rams Vote For Captains, Sign Players
The Rams reduced the number of team captains from nine to five yesterday and then voted for five players to serve in that role. On offense, Marc Bulger and receiver Torry Holt are captains while Will Witherspoon and Corey Chavous will lead the defense. Safety Todd Johnson has been elected the captain of the special [...]

The Rams are at 53 on their roster after their latest cuts. Wide receiver-return man Derek Stanley and G/C Dustin Fry, two 2007 draft picks, were both let go. Cornerback Darius Vinnett, wide receiver Brandon Williams, and offensive tackle Mark LeVoir were also released. Receiver Reche Caldwell and cornerback David Macklin, who joined the team [...]
