Rams RB Todd Gurley Says Left Knee Feeling ‘Pretty Good’

Todd Gurley was basically a non-factor in both the NFC Title game and the Super Bowl, leading to more and more questions about his left knee.

Monday, he answered questions about that knee to the media via ESPN.

“It’s feeling pretty good,” Gurley said. “Taking it day by day.”

Gurley rushed for 1,251 yards last season and 21 total touchdowns. In the win against the Cowboys in the divisional round he ran for 115 yards and a score.

The next two weeks, he ran for a total of 45 yards on 14 carries.

He said Monday that he’s healthy, and that his knee is feeling ready to go for the 2019 season.

“All I need to worry about is how I’m feeling right now,” Gurley said.

“I don’t know how I’m going to be feeling six months from now. So like I said, just kind of keep working hard, doing what I’ve been doing these past couple of years.”

When asked if he was able to confirm reports that he had a degenerative knee or arthritis, Gurley avoided any such label.

“I mean, all I can focus on is how I’m doing right now,” Gurley said. “Feeling pretty good, like I said, taking it day by day and just trying to get better, get ready for the next season.”
