Rams vs 49ers – Halftime Report

If it wasn’t for the last 2 minutes of the half this game would have been a real sleeper.  Rams star RB Todd Gurley is out with a “foot injury” and the Rams even brought in practice squad RB Brown for a few looks.  Yawn…  tough to watch two mediocre teams “battle it out” in this season closer.  But things got more interesting right after the 2 minute warning.  Niner QB Gabbert threw up a pass that was swatted by Arron McDonald.  6-6 270 pound DE Eugene Sims then went rumblin, stumblin and bumblin all the way to the Niners 3 yard line.  Rams RB Tre Mason finished the job with a sweeping run around the right end.  The Rams gave the ball back to the 49ers with plenty of time left on the clock (1:31), but they were unable to do anything with it and gave it right back.  With :29 on the clock, at the Rams own 34 yard line, Keenum hands the ball of to RB Cunningham who busts out a 40 yard run and puts the Rams into field goal range.

At the half the score is Rams 16, 49ers 10.  The Rams need to get more pressure on Gabbert and we’ve got to get some offense going.  It would be great to close the season with a big road win.  But we’ve got to earn it.

Go Rams!!!
