I have to admit I’ve never been a Case Keenum fan, but I saw something in the 1st quarter that I haven’t seen in a long time. I saw a QB who was scrambling, evading tacklers, and making plays happen while on the run. Compare that to a confused, lumbering, panicing, and mistake making Nick Foles and all I can say is “Welcome to the starting lineup Case.” The only TD of the game came exactly as I described it above. Case was in the grasp and looked to be tackled twice before escaping and launching a bomb resulting in a pass interference call (which a few plays later resulted in a Todd Gurley 1 yard TD run). Now, things are still not all rosey for Ramsnation. We are still 1-7 in 3rd down conversions for the game. Our problems are not solved, but incompetence has left the field and for the moment, after giving up a turnover at the end of the half without too much damage (Ravens setttled for a field goal), even lady luck has smiled at us.
A lot of game to go. We have to minimize mistakes and execute. Go Rams!
