The Rams came out and played ball in the second half. A beautiful site to see. Rams rookie RB Gurley scored the first TD of his career (2 of them). After a 41 yard strike from Foles to Britt, Gurley took it in from 1 yard out. Later in the 4th he capped off a Rams drive which started with a fumble recovery. Gurley rushed 16 yards to the right for a beautiful TD run. The Rams defense played tough all day and forced the Browns into 4 turnovers and a lot of penalties. The Rams sacked Browns QB McCown 4 times.

Today we saw something we haven’t seen in a long time. The Rams played big against a (on paper) lesser opponent and came away with a win. Typically, we are so up and down. We play a big opponent and we might come away with a big win, but then we play a team like the Browns and time after time we lose what seemed to be a very winnable game. The other thing is we won a pivotal game. We alway lose these games. I mean at least for about the last 10 years. Coming into this game with a record of 2-3… this was almost a must win game to keep or get our season on track. At 2-4 we’re once again a non presence in the NFL landscape, but with this win we’re 3-3, second in our division and most importantly… we are relevant. For the next four weeks we plays struggling teams (Niners, Vikings, Bears, Ravens). If we can win 3 of the 4, we’re 6-4 and staring the playoffs squarely in the face.
Regardless, today was a big win Rams fans. Next week we look forward to playing division rivals SF 49ers at the Edward Jones Dome. This is still not a game we can take lightly. Embattled 49ers QB Kaepernick passed for over 300 yards a couple weeks back against the Ravens. The Rams can not give them an inch. Exciting times for the first time in a long time. Go Rams!!!
