At the half it’s Rams 10, Browns 3. All Rams points are off defensive turnovers. The first coming from a early fumble recovery deep in Browns territory run in by Rams safety McLeod. Still in the first quarter Rams LB Ayers recovered a fumble resulting in a Rams field goal. After that the Rams defense continued to play well and put consistent pressure on Browns QB McCown. On the offensive side the Rams were mostly invisible until about 8 minutes remaining in the 2nd quarter. The Rams started the possession on their own 41 yard line. Mostly due to a couple of rushing attempts by RB Gurley, the Rams drove to the Browns 32 yard line. For the first time in the game the Rams offense looked like is was gaining momentum. Then Foles passed to the left to TE Cook who fumbled the ball on the Browns 17 yard line. A serious opportunity missed. The Rams missed another opportunity due to poor clock management at the very end of the half. Luckily, the Browns have been their own worst enemy. Lots of turnovers and penalties have prevented them from mounting any serious threat against the Rams.
The second half is starting and once againt the Rams need to find themselves on the offensive side of the ball. It looked like things were about to click near the end of the first half. Hopefully, Coach Fisher’s halftime adjustments will do the trick. go Rams!!!
