Rams vs Packers – Halftime Update

The Rams have found a way to hang on in Green Bay.  About 3 minutes into the game Packers QB Rogers threw straight up the middle to a wide open Montgomery who took it 31 yards to the end zone.  There are ways you want to start a game, but this is not one of them.  Then the Packers began a violent assault on Rams QB Foles.  Foles took ‘speedcar into a brick wall’ hits.  Some how he got up and kept going.  Of course the price was 2 Rams interceptions one of which was a pick 6, but we dusted ourselves off and moved forward.  Laurnaitis and Johnson grabbed a couple of their own INTs (Rogers hadn’t been intercepted at home in 19 games) and the Rams managed to put together  a scoring driving.  The Rams drove the length of the field.  32 of those yards came from a defensive interference call and another 30 plus came from Rams RB Todd Gurley.  The drive culminated in an explosive 5 yard TD run by Tavon Austin.

The Rams were down 14-0 at one point, but by halftime the score was Rams 10- Packers 14.  If you look at the stats… you see that things look pretty even.  This game is going to come down to 2 things:  1 execution and 2 who wants to win more.  It’s tough to win at Lambeau field, but this one is not out of reach.  Hang on Rams fans cause the rest of this game could be bumpy.  Go Rams.
