Rams Beat Cardinals 24-22

The Rams did something different today.  They closed out a game.  How did they do it?  I’ll give you two names: Tavon Austin and and Todd Gurley.  In our next game we could be subject to the same ole garbage (generally just under performing and not seeming to want to win as badly as the other team), but we could be entering a new era Rams fans.  It hasn’t been since ‘The Greatest Show on Turf’ that we’ve had true superstar talent on our team.  Austin and Gurley are the real deal.  Young and explosive Hall of Fame talent.  Austin ran/received for 114 yards and 2 TDs.  Gurley rushed for 146 yards off 19 attempts for (ready for this?) an average of 7.7 yards per carry.  Add a solid performance by Rams QB Nick Foles and today you have the winning formula.

While we saw the unexpected with our offense, the defense also produced in a serious way.  The defense sacked Cardinal’s QB Palmer 4 times, forced 2 fumbles and came away with an epic touch down eliminating interception.  Rams tacklers played tough defense and often made Palmer, RB Johnson, and WR Brown physically pay for their efforts.  Heck, the Rams defense even shared a little love with Cards WR Larry Fitzgerald.  🙂

How do you coach consistency?  I wish I knew.  I hope Coach Fisher can learn.  Next week we have a huge game against the Green Bay Packers.  I’m definitely feeling more hopeful after today’s victory.  Go Rams!

The defense was the best we expected it to be. The offense flashed what we’ve been hoping for for years. Again, all we need is consistency!

    Go Rams!
