Rams Lose To Redskins 10-24

There were 2 main reasons for the Rams 10-24 loss to the Redskins (there are lots of reasons, but let’s try and keep this civil).  The first is that the Rams were just off their game today.  To use a tennis term… there were way to many unforced errors.  Lots of Rams players walking around the field with this stupid Homer Simpson look on their face.  “Was that ball thrown to me?  Doh…”  There were all kinds of dropped passes and I can’t even count the numbers of balls Foles floated 10 feet or more away from the nearest receiver.  Maybe a travel thing?  Not sleeping in their own bed?  Not sure, but the Rams were not 100%.

The 2nd factor is that the Redskins played a much tougher form of football.  They ran over us.  Redskins RBs Morris and Jones ran past, around, and threw every level of the Rams defense.  There were a fair amount of plays were the Rams D-line stuffed their runners behind the line of scrimmage, but exponentially more of them blowing past our first line defenders.  Matt Jones averaged 6.5 yards per carry and the Skins rushed for over 180 yards on the day.  In the 4th quarter Redskin QB Cousins tossed a 29 yard pass to TE Jordan Reed who ran right through 2 Rams defenders before finally being brought down by Rodney McLeod.  The play epitomized the entire game.

The Redskins were fired up and prepared… the Rams were not.  Game over.  It’s that simple.  Next week we’re at home, but we’ll be playing a very tough Steeler team.  Time to get our man cards back gentelemen.  Go Rams!!!
