I don’t even know where to start with this one. The Rams played the best game I’ve seen in 10 years. Then in typical Rams fashion… seemingly gave it away. Rams turnovers accounted for the majority of points scored by the Hawks today. Possibly the worst came with 4:46 remaining in the game when a blindsided Nick Foles caughed up a fumble to Seahawks Cary Williams who ran it back for a score. A horrified sigh echoed through the Edward Jones dome and tweets went out saying fans just got up and left. For Rams of old this would have been the end.
But not today Rams fans. The Rams start the next drive slowly earning a first down. Then Foles hits WR Kenny Brit for a 21 yard strike. A few play later, with :53 seconds left on the clock, Foles hits TE Kendricks for 37 yards and the tying TD. We head to overtime and shortly afterwards all of RamsNation is thanking Pete Carrol for calling a ridiculous on-side kick. The Rams take possession of the ball at mid field (what?). The resulting drive seemed relatively effortless. We couldn’t score a TD, but we marched it far enough down the field for Mr Zuerlein to do his thing. Field Goal! Rams 34-Hawks 31.
Seattle RB Lynch exploded for 19, but then there was nothing. The Hawks seem a bit scattered as they picked up a couple yards here and there. Rams close out this amazing victory as DL Michael Brocker mauls RB Lynch planting him firmly behind the first down marker.
You’ve got to go back and watch this game again Rams fans. Very Exciting. Here is the scoring summary:
Next week we’re on the road taking on the Redskins. Go Rams!!!
