The Rams showed some heart in this turbulent contest against the Giants. The Rams put together a 90 yard drive at the end of the third quarter which ended in a 23 yard TD pass to TE Kendricks. Late in the 4th quarter Rams QB Hill connected with WR Givens for a beautiful 46 yard TD reception. Even though the Rams gave up over 500 yards of total offense to the Giants for the game, they still had a glimpse of hope with just over 2 minutes remaining. The Giants had driven to the Rams 11 yard line and in what would normally have been an easy field goal attempt, became a blocked kick and a new Rams possession.
So with 2 minutes left in the game (mathematically) we had a chance. In what was perhaps symbolic of the entire Rams season, center Scott Wells hiked the ball right over the head of QB Hill (recovered by the Giants deep in our territory). The glimpse was gone along with the Rams’ chance at finishing the season at .500. Today, the Rams 2014 record is 6-9. The game scoring summary is below:
Next week we take on the Seahawks in Seattle. We’ll have to wait and see which direction our rollercoaster is headed. We’re at the bottom today so no where to go but up? Either way have a great week Rams fans.
Happy Holidays and Go Rams!!!
