The St. Louis Rams will be hosting the Seattle Seahawks in a NFC West edition of Monday Night Football. The Seahawks are cruising into this game at 6-1, while the Rams sit at 3-4. Feelings would be more positive in St. Louis if the Rams did not lose quarterback Sam Bradford for the season with a torn ACL last week. St. Louis will resort to backup Kellen Clemens to face one of the league’s best defenses. Clemens hasn’t started a game since 2011 and what not very successful in his three starts that season. Clemens has a career completion percentage of 51.8 percent with seven touchdowns and 13 interceptions. He only has one season, 2009 with the New York Jets when he started eight games, when he throw over 100 passes in a season. The Rams also don’t have an experienced receiver or running back to make the transition to Clemens either, which could cause some trouble for the St. Louis offense.
Because of Bradford’s injury, St. Louis Rams tickets are averaging $72 on the secondary market, a 40% decrease on the average price for games at Edward Jones Dome. The price has dropped 36% over the past week, which is the largest drop for any game this week. The get-in price is only $6, easily the lowest of the week. The Rams have been better at home this season with a 2-1 record and were able to beat the Seahawks in St. Louis last season. Seattle is coming off a win against another NFC West opponent, the Arizona Cardinals, last Thursday night. The average price for this game is 57% below the average Seahawks tickets on the road this season.
The hope for the Rams in this game will come from the defense. Defensive end Robert Quinn has been having a breakout season this year and already has seven sacks through the first seven games. He could possibly take advantage of an injured Seahawks offensive line. Michael Brockers and Chris Long have combined for six sacks, giving St. Louis a dangerous defensive line. Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson has been sacked on 9.7 percent of his dropbacks, leaving the door open for a big night for St. Louis pass rushers.

There’s certainly an unknown with Clemens at quarterback, but at this low of a price it could be worth seeing two good defenses play each other in a divisional matchup.
