Its halftime and the Rams go into the locker room leading 20-10. I’m feeling pretty good about things in general, although I have to admit being distracted by some pretty nice people here at the bar. Being in the lead is pretty cool, but what is more important is that the method of getting there is reproducible. Tavon Austin started off the game with a beautiful 81 yard kick off return followed by a 3 yard TD pass. Later K Zuerlein kicked a 58 yard field goal when the Bronocs missed a much more reasonable attempt. That’s 10 points I’m not sure we can count on next week. So I have to say hmmm…
Things that caught my attention: 1 I love our new speedster Austin. 2 I also like TE Cook. I think he has so much potential. And 3 I like the growth of receiver Chris Givens. Ok, ok… Sam Bradford is looking pretty good too.
Concerns: our pass defense looks shakey and our rushing game is anemic. It was a big mistake to let go of Steven Jackson. We earned 13 total yards of rushing in the first half. That kind of one dimensional offensive production will get us destroyed in the regular season.
That’s all for now. Enjoy the rest of the game. Go Rams!!!
