Rams Fail to Inspire

rams

Saturday’s game was weird. First of all the Edward Jones Dome was full of Packers fans, which was to be expected given that it’s so difficult for fans to get tickets in Green Bay it’s both easier and cheaper for them to drive 8+ hours to St. Louis even for a preseason game.

I love the Packers and their fans are cool so that was okay. It was the Rams that dampened the enthusiasm. The offense, despite a scant handful of good plays, looked too much like last year and the year before that.

Once again Rams fans cringed when we got into the Red Zone and once again nothing was accomplished even at 1st and goal. Meanwhile the defense, or lack thereof, was alarming. Missed tackles were the name of the game there with the offense specializing in illegal formation penalties.

By the half it was time to go.

Rams fans flooded out the gates and hit the road for the comforts of home.
