I read this somewhere a couple of weeks ago and wanted to get your opinion:
RB—Daryl Richardson, Isaiah Pead x
WR—Chris Givens, Tavon Austin x
LG—Jonathan Cooper x
DT—Michael Brockers, Kendall Langford
OLB—Jo-Lonn Dunbar, Zaviar Gooden
CB—Janoris Jenkins, Trumaine Johnson x
FS—Cortland Finnegan x
SS—Eric Reid x
The ‘x’s are where I have a problem. Starting with the offense.
RB – neither of these guys have shown they can be an every down back. Heck, Pead hasn’t even shown he should be in the NFL
WR – we really need at least 1 veteran presence here. Neither player strikes fear into a defensive secondary
LG – Cooper sounds promising, but do we really want a rookie protecting Sam’s blind side? Do we want Bradford paying for Cooper’s learning curve?
The defensive secondary looks suspect. Jenkins and Finnegan showed signs of brilliance, but they also spent long periods of time in 2012 getting burned again and again. Adding in a SS rookie who got burned a lot himself in 2012 (Reid, LSU) and I see a lot of volatility.
I would have liked to have seen more free agency signings. Your thoughts?
