Prior numbers or stats cannot predict future performance, but they can be insightful and can expose when a team is about to enter unchartered territory. In 2012, the St Louis Rams ended the season at 7-8-1. This is a score the Rams have never had before. In the entire history of the Rams organization they have ended with 7 wins only four times. This year, in 2010, in 2002, and in 1995. 1995 was also the only other time (except for this year) the Rams recorded a 7 win season and had a new head coach that same season. In 1995 Rich Brooks took over the team from legendary head coach Chuck Knox. Brooks’ number 1 receiver was Issac Bruce and his running back was Jerome Bettis. The following year, 1996, the Rams had a dissapointing record of 6-10. The last time the Rams had a tie was way back in 1976. The head coach was once again Chuck Knox and the team went 10-3-1. So, the next question? How did they do the following year? This time the Rams remained consistent and finished the 1977 season 10-4.
iSo there is not a lot of history behind the Rams 2012 season record. Looks like In 2013 the Rams will be making history as they go!
