Rams vs Cardinals – Halftime Update

The Rams finally showed up to play about half way through the 2nd quarter.  Prior to that the Cardinals were able to move the ball pretty much at ease and the only score the Rams could muster was on a great defensive play by CB Janoris Jenkins.  RB Beanie Wells has returned to the line up for the Cardinals making a huge impact for his team.  Wells has rushed 11-38 and 2 TDs.  Not a lot of yards on average, but he has looked explosive.

The Rams had 2 very good drives in the 2nd quarter.  The first brought them to first and goal only to be intercepted by Cardinals defensive back Peterson.  Then the Rams defense stood up and did there job holding the Cardinals and their smiling QB Lindley to 3 and out.  On the next drive the Rams did it right.  The Rams have been using a pretty balanced attack all day and this drive was the same.  I couple of passes and a couple of SJ runs brought the Rams to Arizona’s 37 yard line.  With 1:53 remaining in the half Bradford throws about a 15 yard strike to Lance Kendricks who provides great after-the-catch production and scores the TD.  Finally, the Rams hold the Cards to a FG to close out the 2nd quarter.  At the half it’s Rams 14, Cards 17.

The Rams are doing a little to much passing in my opinion, but we definitely have a game.  And will someone on the Rams defense please wipe that smile off of Lindley’s face?  Once again execution is the key to the game.  Stay tuned to the second half.  Go Rams!!!
