NFC West Week 9 Update (Part II)

After the weekend here is how the NFC West stands:

Team W L T
San Francisco 6 2 0
Seattle 5 4 0
Arizona 4 5 0
St. Louis 3 5 0

Both the Rams and the 49ers had a bye week and as fate would have it they face each other in week 10 (@SF).  If the Rams want to stay relevant in the conference, they have to find a way to pull off a big upset at Candlestick Park.  Falling to 3-6 would give them a firm grasp at last place.  Despite a strong showing by Cardinals QB John Skelton (23-46, 306 yds, 1 TD, 1 INT), he was no match for Green Bay’s QB Aaron Rodgers (14-30, 218 yds, 4 TDs, 1 INT).  The Cards lost the match up 17-31 and dropped below .500 for the year with a record of 4-5.  And Seattle was able to come away with a home win over the Vikings.  Viking RB Adrian Peterson ran for a magnificent 17 rushes, for 182 yards, and 2 TDs.  Unfortunately for the Vikings, it simply wasn’t enough.  Seattle QB Wilson sealed the win on 16-24 passing, 173 yards, and 3 TDs.

SF is slowly pulling away from the pack and it’s up to the Rams to slow them down on Sunday.  (It could happen…)
