Redskins vs Rams: Q1 Update

We had mentioned the Rams needing a little luck in today’s game.  Not gonna happen.  The opening of the game saw Amendola fumbling and the recovery being run in by the Redskins for 7.  After that both teams settled in and began the battle.  The Rams play calling was better (not as predictable).  SJ involved in plays other than running right up the middle and Amendola made quite a few catches bailing out Bradford.  The Rams defense was fired up.  Jo-Lonn Dunnbar talking smack and getting in  the face of RG3 (or Bob) regularly.

But officiating was absolutely not on our side.  Bad calls on penalties (late hit on RG3 going out of bounds was a crock), perfectly good TD pass to Gibson called not good, and a clear hold on Rams defense that aided the Skins on a Bob running TD.  Overall the Rams are playing pretty good, but the score doesn’t reflect it.  Going in the 2nd quarters the Rams are down 14-3.

More to come…
