So now everyone knows what’s up with the Rams, the O-line needs help, Bradford is just ok, at the very least Pead has the rookie jitters, our deep safeties may not be able to get the job done, and we are in desperate need of a #1 wide receiver. In regards to the later matter… I said it once now I’ll say it again…
What about Plax? As far as receivers go he’s still a Cadillac. In the red zone he’s big and strong and can knock the defense on their backs. Years back Plax was cleary wack, but recent history shows Plax is back. (1 more? Lol) I’m telling ya with a receiver like Plax, Bradford could take it to the max.
Ok, seriously. Check out the positives:
1 Plaxico Burress is a decorated collegiate WR who set a single-season record by catching 65 passes in his first season at Michigan State.
2 He was drafted in 2000 by the Steelers. There he accumulated receptions of 4,164 yards, 22 touchdowns, and six fumbles over 5 years.
3 He moved to the NY Giants in 2005. That year he caught 76 passes for 1,214 yards.
4 He played injured for the Giants in 2006 and still came up with 10 TD catches.
5 In 2007 coming off an injured ankle he was the team’s (Giants) leading receiver with 70 receptions for 1,025 yards. He also caught the Super Bowl winning TD!
6 In 2011 he signed with the NY Jets. After not playing for 2 years he still earned 612 receiving yards on 45 attempts while bringing in 8 TDs. 8!!! Tell me who on the Rams pulled in 8TDs last year?
Ok, we all know that 2008 was a total disaster for Plax. He made a stink over his contract and then had a total brain fart and shot himself in the leg. But, outside of one bad (cataclysmic) year; he has consistently played at a very high level. Everyone loves to hate him, but if you look at the numbers he is pretty good. The Rams need some serious help in the redzone and I think Plax is just the preseason-free-agent-signing we need.
Go Rams!!!

Why not?
We’ve played 1 pre season game its pretty hard to base all this on one game. Last pre season we went 4 and 0 and we saw how we ended up. Who cares about pre season and we don’t need plax there’s a reason no one has picked him up yet. Our receivers will be fine as long as they stay healthy.
Seriously, am I crazy to think the Rams should trade a 1st round pick for Mike Wallace. We can get a proven #1 receiver this year. What do you think we would need in the 2013 draft. Even if we draft well and get a great WR it would take a year min to get him ready to play at the NFL level. Come on man.
