So the Rams got it done. The much anticipated signing of potential CB sensation Janoris Jenkins is in the books. Jenkins agreed to a four-year $5 million contract with $3.1 million guaranteed. Jenkins contract includes a signing bonus of $2.1 million that will be paid in installments. Rams fans are we happy? I think we should be. Both sides gave in a little which should make for a happy union and a bright future relationship. The Rams showed Jenkins some respect (with the highest increase of percentage of any second-rounder over the last two years since the rookie wage scale was put into place, according to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch) and Jenkins gave the Rams some peace of mind by approving the bonus installment plan. All this happened in time for Jenkins to make training camp without missing a beat. This is one more positive step for the Rams. I’m looking forward to 2012.
Go Rams!!!
