Just as the Rams will have to trim their roster down to 53 players before the regular season begins… so to the cheerleading squad had to trim down from their 51 finalists to 28. The final auditions included grueling rounds of competition. First there was the cheerleading challenge where contestants danced/cheered in teams of 2 and then cheered in larger groups of 5. Next came the swim suite round where the ladies displayed charm, charisma, and stuff. Perhaps the toughest round was the question and answer session. Contestants where asked a variety of personal question ranging from, “What is the name of your favorite athlete?” to “If you were stranded on a deserted island, what one item would you have to have?”.
I don’t envy the task set before returning captains Tiffany, Christa and Ashley to choose their favorite finalists joining the team. Good job ladies at making the selections. Congratulations to the official 2012 Rams Cheerleaders (below):
