Redskins general manager Bruce Allen and Rams general manager Les Snead have issued a joint statement regarding a trade involving the No. 2 pick in the 2012 NFL Draft.
“In order to execute each of our club’s plans for free agency and the upcoming draft we have agreed to a trade between our two teams for the second pick in the 2012 draft. We will submit this trade to the NFL for approval.”
If approved, the Redskins will send the No. 6 pick in the 2012 NFL Draft as well as their second round draft choice in 2012 and first round selections in the 2013 and 2014 NFL Drafts to the Rams to move up to the No. 2 pick in the 2012 NFL Draft.
The trade would not become official until 4pm ET on Tuesday, March 13th, the start of the 2012 league year.

This is the best thing that has happened to the rams since beating seattle in the 04 playoffs
The deal seems to be for 3 1st round draft choices. In actuality,
it’s for 4 1st rounders. They will now combine the two second rounders
and move back into the bottom half of round 1 and pick up another 1st.
That’s why the Rams insisted on the additional 2nd rounder.
