Rams Talk to 49ers Director of Player Personnel Tom Gamble About GM Job

The Rams continue to talk to others about their open GM spot, and the latest on the list to get an interview was 49ers Director of Player Personnel Tom Gamble.

Gamble has been with the 49ers for the last seven seasons, beginning as the Director of Pro Personnel before he was promoted to his current position last February. Before working for the 49ers, Gamble was a college scout for the Indianapolis Colts, a scout for the Baltimore Ravens, defensive assistant/quality control coach for the New York Jets and spent seven seasons in the Philadelphia Eagles’ front office, including two seasons where Rams head coach Jeff Fisher was defensive coordinator.

The Rams are planning a second interview with Minnesota Vikings Director of Player Personnel George Paton and have also interviewed New York Jets Vice President of College Scouting Joey Clinkscales, Miami Dolphins Director of Player Personnel Brian Gaine, Arizona Cardinals Director of Player Personnel Steve Keim interviewing on Tuesday. Atlanta Falcons Director of Player Personnel Les Snead and former NFL executive and league office employee Ron Hill for their general manager opening.
