Tickets for Rams Game with Pats in London Suspended

Sales for the National Football League’s annual game at Wembley Stadium have been suspended.

The Rams are scheduled to “host” the New England Patriots on October 28th, 2012, but the Rams’ lease at the Edward Jones Dome requires them to play all home games at that facility.

“The reason for the postponement is to allow the Rams and their stadium authority time to finalise (sic) the technical amendments to the lease required under the terms of the Rams’ commitment to London,” a statement read on the NFL UK website.

“The Rams have expressed optimism that a resolution is near, and we will provide updates as information becomes available.”

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell reiterated the league’s commitment towards playing a game in London in 2012 during his State of the NFL press conference on Friday morning.

“We’re going to play the London games. We hope it will be with the Rams and the New England Patriots next year. That’s what we planned,” Goodell said. “,but there are issues that obviously are going to have to get resolved. We know there are discussions going on. We hope they will get resolved shortly.”
