Posted in The Rams have requested and received permission from the Jets to interview New York Jets Vice President of College Scouting Joey Clinkscales for the team’s general manager position, Tony Softli of 101 ESPN in St. Louis reports.
A former NFL wide receiver, Clinkscales worked in the Pittsburgh Steelers scouting department from 1989-93 and worked for the National Football Scouting Combine Service before joining the Jets as a scout 17 seasons ago. Clinkscales has been the Jets’ VP of College Scouting for the last four seasons.
