Sam Bradford OUT Sunday

Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch has the word from the Rams on Sam Bradford:

Rams downgrade qb sam bradford to out for dallas. A. J. Feeley to start.

Sam Bradford’s high ankle sprain did not improve over the week and now he is out with backup quarterback AJ Feeley to start.  Expect the Rams to make another move on their roster to move Tom Brandstater to the active roster to be the number 2 quarterback on Sunday.

Since we are out of the playoffs, it makes no sense to risk #8. After this game, those that are not in Bradford’s corner will see that it isn’t on him, nor should it be. My vote is O-line coach Loney needs to go. If Jim Hanifan is up to the challenge, he’s the best O-line coach St. Louis teams have ever had. Fire Loney.

I disagree about Sam. For him to develop as a QB, he needs to play. If he is too hurt to play however, I support the move to hold him out.

What makes Loney so unique that a replacement wouldn’t be necessary? Does he grade well on being chummy or were the picks and FA signings simply poor choices?
