Rams Release Mike Sims-Walker

The Rams released WR Mike Sims-Walker today to make room for newly acquired Brandon Lloyd.  Sims-Walker was inactive this week against Green Bay.  Jim Thomas has the official scoop that others had hinted about earlier in the day/week, including Ryan Van Bibber at Turf Show Times.

Sims-Walker was an acquisition that seemed O.K. at the time, but MSW never lived up to his contract and ended his Rams career with a terrible drop filled afternoon against the Redskins in Week 4.  Sims-Walker stayed classy in his sign off tweet to Rams fans:

Wanna thank the rams organization and fans for the short stay, I am a better player and Man because of yall, best of luck…..#sky

Yet another acquisition that did not work out for the Rams, but it is good to see that they are quickly moving away from players that aren’t quite working out and making changes to make the team better.

Best of luck to Mike Sims-Walker in his future endeavors.
