First Nationally Televised Preseason Game Goes To the Seahawks

Today is unofficial official “Football is back!” day.  This celebration was supposed to be around the Rams first game.  Football was supposed to be back with the Hall of Fame Game.  But, with that game cancelled, today is “football is back!” day instead.  Football is back and on national TV are … the Seahawks?  Thanks NFL!

I understand all the reasons for cancelling the Hall of Fame Game.  There was less than a week of practice for restricted and unrestricted free agents and players with renegotiated contracts.  There was just one week of practice for all the other players.  But, seriously, it is preseason and is only a glorified scrimmage anyway; the NFL should have let them play.

Yes, I know I’m terribly angry about this, but this was the chance for the Rams to be featured on national TV and now that chance was given to the Seahawks, one of the Rams fiercest rivals.

I cannot be too angry because the Rams get a Monday night game in Week 2 of the regular season, which means so much more, but the anger still remains.
