We Can Finally Put All of the Moss and Plaxico Rumors to Rest

Today Randy Moss announced his intention to retire from the NFL, possibly because he did not receive much attention at all from the Rams or any other team this offseason.  Yesterday, Plaxico Burress ended his courtship between Philadelphia, both New York teams, Pittsburgh and San Francisco by choosing the New York Jets.  Notice the lack of a visit or potential visit to the St. Louis Rams.

All offseason, either Moss or Burress were linked to the Rams.  Every talking head thought to themselves that the Rams needed a wide receiver and Moss and Burress, both being high profile wide receivers whose names no longer match their production, would be perfect fits.  Now we can see how wrong everyone was to ever link the Rams with Moss or Burress this offseason.

The Rams were probably never interested in either player this offseason, but lazy national journalists that know nothing about the Rams continued to put 2 and 3 together to make 4.  Both were terrible fits for the Rams and now neither have signed with the Rams.
