Bradford Ready to Be More of a Leader in Second Season

Pro Football Weekly reports that Sam Bradford is going to be more of a leader on and off the field in his second season in St.Louis.

Sources on the scene in St. Louis told PFW there appeared to be a dramatic difference in Bradford’s leadership skills, which were far from shabby to begin with in a rookie campaign that earned high marks from most league observers. “Leadership wise, it was like he was a different person,” the source said. “He really seemed committed to teaching the offense to the players. At one practice late in the week that was conducted at a high school (Lutheran South), he had everybody in an actual classroom at the end of the day. I tell you, Steven Jackson is great, but it really looks like the Rams are en route to becoming Bradford’s team.”

That said, while Bradford’s commanding presence might have stood out, we hear both MLB James Laurinaitis and CB Ron Bartell also showed typically strong leadership skills at the St. Louis-based workouts. “Bartell knows he needs to be a bigger leader without (Oshiomogho) Atogwe here anymore,” the source said.
