Pat Shurmur Expected To Be Named Browns Head Coach

According to Adam Schefter on ESPN, as soon as both sides iron out a contract, Rams offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur will be named the next head coach of the Cleveland Browns.  And as Pro Football Talk reports, both Shurmur and the Browns brass have the exact same agent, Bob LeMonte.  So, one would think the negotiations would go smoothly.  Additionally, Shurmur did not interview with any other team this offseason, so he would more than likely agree quickly.  There are only 32 head coaching jobs in the NFL, so those jobs are very valuable.

All this boils down to the fact that the Rams will be without an offensive coordinator by the end of the week.  Congrats to Pat.
