Rams Remain Heavy Underdogs for Sunday vs Saints

The Rams have a shot to land a rather big upset according to those that bet on sports Sunday when they go to the Superdome to take on the Saints. According to the lines out Friday, the Rams, who currently are tied for first with Seattle in the NFC West, are 9-point underdogs for the contest in the Big Easy.

New Orleans enters Sunday 4-2 at home, while the Rams are 2-4 on the road, but have won the last two road contests with wins over the Broncos and Cardinals.

St. Louis hasn’t won three consecutive road games since Nov. 16-Dec. 8, 2003. The Rams have won four in a row and six of seven at the Superdome, though they haven’t played there since 2007.

“I think we’re starting to understand the sense of urgency that the month of December has,” defensive end James Hall said. “Every game is going to be a big game, and every game is going to be a hard-fought game.”

And while those that lay the lines don’t feel they can do it, Rams players and coaches think that Sunday will be a wakeup call for the rest of the league as they look to score a huge road win that could set up for a fun January with a possible surprise playoff home game.
