Rams Secure Best Season Out Of Last Four

No stat was more used and overused to emphasize the ineptitude of the Rams franchise over the past three seasons than this record: 6-42.  The Rams had only won 6 games over the previous three seasons of 2007, 2008 and 2009.  The Rams had selected 2nd, 2nd and 1st in the NFL draft over that period of time.

In the NFL, you are judged by your record, and there is no better symbol of the resurgence of the Rams this season than their record after 12 games: 6-6.  The Rams have won as many games in 12 games this season as they did in the previous 48 games.  In the previous 3 seasons, the Rams won as many games as a bad team would win in just 1 year.

The Rams over 12 games are sitting at .500 having won as many games as they have lost.  The Rams are tied for first and hold the tiebreaker going into the last 4 games of the season.  Whatever happens the rest of the way, the Rams have made huge steps forward and this is a great milestone for the Rams to put their sordid past behind them.
