Rams vs Seattle: Halftime Update

It’s halftime in St Louis and the Rams have a 10-3 lead over the Seahawks. It has been a low scoring game, but as the half wound down there were signs that things are going the Rams way. Last year the Rams were recognized as the most ‘unlucky’ team in the NFL. Whenever things could go wrong they did. Today with under 2 minutes to go the Seahawks drove down the field with the hopes of taking the lead prior to going into the half. The Rams defense stiffened and forced Seattle to attempt a field goal (which they botched). Instead, with approximately a minute to go the Rams were the ones looking to add to their score. The offensive line held there ground and Bradford hit one receiver after another. With the Rams on the Seahawks 10 yard line it looked like they were just going to stand there and let the clock run out. There was 2 seconds on the clock when someone finally pulled the finger out of their nose and called the time out. The field goal was good (so no blood no foul).

Some key stats:
– The rushing game was virtually non existent and this is something to keep an eye on.
– Sam Bradford – 12 of 22 for 151 yards. He had a TD pass and an INT and was also sacked once.
– The passing game has been well balanced with Clayton being the top receiver (4 for 58)

More to come in the second half…
