Dominique Curry to IR – Rams Have Open Roster Spot

The Rams moved (or will move) WR and Special Teams ace Dominique Curry to the IR after his knee injury during the week 3 game against the Washington Redskins.  Because they moved Marquis Johnson to the practice squad to make room for Kevin Dockery, that means the Rams have an open roster spot on Tuesday.  Tuesday is the number 1 day of the week for waiver and free agent acquisitions so that the new player has the full week to game plan for the next opponent.

Who will the Rams pick up?  An extra running back?  Another special teams ace to cover for Curry and injured special teamer Chris Chamberlain?

This is a bad break for Curry, who was a big surprise as a undrafted rookie.  He should be able to rehab all year and then come back strong next season.  If he continues to play well as on special teams, he should get his roster spot no problem.
