The Rams today made a switch at the wide receiver position today, signing former Missouri WR Danario Alexander and releasing 2009 draft pick Brooks Foster. Foster has been unable to crack the Rams wide receiver hierarchy after returning from the foot injury that forced him to lose all of the 2009 season.
All Missouri-based Rams fans know all about Alexander who is a 6’5″ tall wide receiver with great leaping ability. That makes him quickly the Rams tallest wide receiver and offers help in an area the Rams do not specialize in. In the 2009 season Alexander had 113 receptions for 1,781 yards and 14 touchdowns as a senior.
Alexander is coming off an injury he suffered in the Senior Bowl and was at Rams Park last week for a tryout and physical and must have been cleared by both the coaches and doctors.
