The Rams and OJ Atogwe are talking according to NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora, but nothing is getting done yet.
The Rams have until midnight tomorrow, June 1st to get a deal done or else Atogwe becomes a free agent. The Dolphins, Cowboys, Jaguars, Eagles, Niners and Bears along with the Lions fans are all keeping their eyes on Atogwe’s situation and waiting until he becomes a free agent.
Another 24+ hours and we will finally discover what the Rams and Atogwe will decide to do. If this is anything like what the Rams have done in the past, look for this to go to the final hour. The Rams seemingly have the trump card in all of this in that Atogwe would agree to play in 2010 for the $7 million full tender. However, the Rams have been very unwilling to give Atogwe any more money that the total minimum for his position and standing.
