Kroenke and That LA Committee

ESPN’s Mike Sando does the hard work instead of just merely rumor mongering and finds the members of the mysterious Los Angeles Stadium Working Group committee to help us Rams fans make heads or tails of this.  Here are the members from Sando:

Eagles owner Jeffrie Lurie chairs the Los Angeles Stadium Working Group. Pat Bowlen (Broncos), Woody Johnson (Jets), Jerry Jones (Cowboys), Bob McNair (Texans), Steve Ross (Dolphins) and Steve Tisch (Giants) are also members.

Stan Kroenke is also on the NFL Network committee according to Sando.

So, this looks like an NFL league office committee based with owners that meet and talk about the new LA stadium situation.  Stan Kroenke is not part of any group trying to bring a football team to LA.  He is simply part of a NFL committee.  He was not even an original member, as Mike Sando speculates that he replaced the Seahawks owner between 2006 and 2007.

Stan Kroenke still may want to move the Rams back to Los Angeles, but his participation in an NFL committee, that he may have been assigned to instead of volunteering for, is not the death knell for NFL football in St. Louis like some have been making it out to be.

Ok, Rams fans, take a deep breath and let’s worry about this problem when it actually becomes a problem.

For now, let’s focus on the NFL draft and have some fun!
