Today is one of the last hurdles for Sam Bradford’s selection by the Rams with the number 1 overall selection in the 2010 NFL draft…his Pro Day. He will be throwing for teams for the first time since he hurt his shoulder the second time during the season.
If he has a great or even good workout today, the Rams look to be on board for the Sam Bradford Experience. Also, here at Rams Gab we will have a special guest post about Bradford today to help us Rams fans shed more light on Bradford.
Peter King has this to say about the workout:
The draft actually begins at 11 a.m. CT, in Norman, Okla. That’s when rehabbing Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford takes the field to throw the 50-pass script that the NFL world — particularly St. Louis, picking first in the April 22 first round, and Washington, picking fourth — has been awaiting. The Rams will have an unusually high six club reps there, including coach Steve Spagnuolo and GM Billy Devaney.
So today Bradford will throw what he calls “a pretty aggressive script” after getting loose and throwing 12 to 15 warmups.
“I don’t want to hide anything,” he [Bradford] said. “I know everyone’s coming to see how healthy my arm is, and they’re going to see me make all the throws. They’re going to see the same player they saw on film in the 2008 season.”
But I’m hearing Bradford is the number one quarterback on their board, clearly. Barring a surprise today in Norman, Bradford will move much closer to being a Ram today.
