Great Googly Moogly

This Vick story just will not die, will it?

This week’s version to me is even less of a story than usual.  Player goes on St. Louis radio, player says he would be great for the St. Louis football team.  Yawn.  Rinse and repeat.  Here’s Vick’s quote from 101 ESPN:

“I’m not saying it out of arrogance but out of confidence,” Vick told the radio station. “I think I can be the difference maker on any team, especially a team like the St. Louis Rams, who need a lot of help and will get it based on their ownership and the general manager they have who is a great guy and I know from Atlanta. I just think bringing the right pieces in, putting the right players in the proper positions and giving them the opportunity to win, I think premier players could turn any team around. Yeah, I’m confident I could do that.”

So, Vick still thinks he’s a “premier player”?  Ugh. I’ve got nothing more to say on this than what has already been said.

UPDATE: And here’s this from Philadelphia’s own Sal Paolantonio on the interest in Vick:

Meanwhile, Paolantonio also said that the well has gone dry on Mike Vick, and that no one is interested in trading for him.  “St. Louis has dried up,” Paolantonio said.  “Buffalo, dried up.”

Vick sounds like he knows no one wants to trade for him and he is trying to drum up interest.

Don’t be so judgemental about Vick. He’s definately an upgrade at the qb position, and can actually get away from pressure if need be. I think he would be an exciting addition to our not-exciting team. We can use all the help we can get. Don’t sleep on him
