Bernie Burns Faulk

In his blog today, Bernie Miklasz of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch has this to say about the Rams great:

* Speaking from his regular platform on the NFL Network, former Rams RB and future Hall of Famer Marshall Faulk offered a strong opinion on what the Rams should do with the No. 1 overall pick in next month’s NFL Draft. Faulk is opposed to selecting Oklahoma QB Sam Bradford and cites Bradford’s shoulder injuries (last season at OU) as the reason. Faulk’s choice is Nebraska defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh. A few responses to this: (1) I respect Faulk; (2) all draft opinions are subjective and we can make a case for or against any # of players; (3) Suh would be a legit pick, so it’s not as if Faulk is suggesting something foolish; (4) Bradford is expected to receive full medical clearance and his shoulder injury wasn’t substantial in the grand scheme of things — many of those who are opposed to the Bradford pick seem to be dramatizing the injury, so I suppose I’ll go with Dr. James Andrews’ opinion on this;  (5) two years ago Faulk wanted the Rams to draft Vernon Gholston with the No. 2 overall pick. Gholston went 6th overall to the NY Jets and has 16 tackles and no sacks in two NFL seasons.

(Emphasis mine) Ya burnt!  I can’t find any confirmation of this statement from Faulk, but I believe Bernie.
