McNabb Rumors Will Not Die

Pro Football Talk, the NFL’s professional rumor creator, spinner and mongerer happily continues the Rams and McNabb rumors with this nugget.

One tipster with a limited but viable track record in these parts claims that McNabb could be a Ram as soon as Friday, in exchange for the first pick in the second round of the draft.

Let me be the first to say “Yea, right”.  This “tipster” must be on the Philly side of things because no way the Rams give up such a huge and valuable pick for a solid quarterback on his decline.  And no way McNabb gives his blessing to a trade of to the rebuilding Rams.

This has nothing to do with McNabb, but if we got Anquan Boldin for a 3rd round pick, I think that would work wonders for the offense, to have a true #1 WR and something that opposing defenses have to consider besides All-world RB Steven Jackson, if we end up drafting a rookie QB, having the WRs we have now, probably won’t help him much. I guess we’ll see what happens tomorrow.

PS. Love the blog, I read it everyday, keep up the good work, man.

I actually just found this web site and I already love it!I hope the Rams wouldn’t give up their 2nd round pick for Mcnabb. Why give up that much for a 33 year old qb that has missed 17 games in the past 5 years due to injuries. I do agree with trying to get a solid WR because Donnie Avery just isn’t going to cut it and it cuts like a knife to know that the Eagles drafted Desean Jackson 16 picks after we got Avery. Trust me my brother is an Eagles fan and he reminds me of it all the time and he hopes that we do give up our 2nd round pick for Mcnabb. That’s how bad this deal sounds, even Eagles fans want it
