The Rams are not going to tender dog-housed corner back Jonathan Wade, making him a free agent on Friday. Wade was a 3rd round pick in the disaster 2007 draft and fell from starter at the beginning of 2009 to inactive at the end of 2009. Wade is certainly not the type of physical corner that Steve Spagnuolo looks for and he has always been extremely raw as a cover corner. Wade’s game was built on his speed and agility, but was never going to be a good bump and run corner.
This is sad for Wade who has never really found his form with the Rams and will be better off with a team that will let him use his talents to turn and run with receivers.
