Rams Should Welcome Bruce Back As Coach

The Rams now have a vacancy at wide receivers coach as their previous wide receivers coach Charlie Baggett went to be the assistant head coach at the University of Tennessee.

Former Ram and now-retired WR Isaac Bruce has expressed his interest in being a wide receiver coach for the Rams.  This has been reported at Around the Horns amongst other places.

Steve Spagnuolo and the Rams coaching staff should absolutely welcome back Isaac Bruce as a wide receivers coach and mentor for the Rams very young and very raw wide receivers corps.  The Rams have a few receivers who are great athletes like Brandon Gibson and Donnie Avery who are as talented as they are raw.  Bruce could certainly help the Rams receivers and their route running and consistency.

This is an easy call, if Bruce wants the job, the Rams should give it to him right away.

Definately hire Bruce as recievers coach especially if he wants it and afterwards go after Faulk as a scout if he’ll come off the broadcasting job that would be the best thing for the Rams orginization getting a little knowledge off of a few guys from the greatest show on turf. They should not of ever got away from that style of offense they had, it did win a super bowl and they was on top for a while but some people had to break it up, god only knows what was going on in Linehans head when ever he let Bruce go as a player, and almost losing Jackson. Glad to see him go to another team just wish it was in the Rams division because he can destroy an offense quicker than anybody.
