Titans Blow Out Rams 47-7

The Rams have hit such low points in 2009, the Rams hoped they were on the way back up, but they hit rock bottom on Sunday at Nashville against the Tennessee Titans.  The Rams were blown out 47-7 and never had a punchers chance in the game.

The story of the day for the Rams was rookie quarterback Keith Null making his first career NFL start for an injured Kyle Boller.  Initial reports had Keith Null making the start, however, Kyle Boller came out in warmups with the first team.  In what ended up to be a bit of gamesmanship by the Rams, Boller limped around in warmups, but Keith Null made the start.  Null looked like a rookie making his first NFL start, throwing 5 interceptions to 1 touchdown.  He threw as many touchdowns to the other team as he did to the Rams.  Null was making his first NFL start under less than ideal conditions with very few weapons on offense with the Titans defense focused and able to stop the Rams one weapon, Steven Jackson.

The Rams were worn out by Chris Johnson repeatedly as Johnson was able to get as many yards as he could against an over-matched Rams defense.  Vince Young injured himself on a long run, but the Titans barely needed him.  Kerry Collins and Chris Johnson were enough to shred the Rams defense.

The Rams slink to 1-12 and are truly just playing out the string in 2009.  Many changes will come to the roster after the season and the end of the season cannot come soon enough.
