Ramblings and Rams Football

First of all, to Rams cheerleader Tricia I’d like to say that I love you. Please leave your contact information in the comment section of this article so that we might explore the many mysteries of amore together.(Myself, I like walks on the beach, candle light dinners, and kick ass football teams.)

I hear that the weather in St Louis is beautiful today. It’s in the low 80’s and there is a sprinkling of clouds accenting the blue sky. St Louis folks can enjoy it today and tomorrow, but there will be rain after that at least until Monday.

Ok, ok, I’ll talk about the Rams, but first, did you know there are many fun and exciting things to do in the St Louis area? You have not lived until you have ridden to the top of the Gateway Arch, towering 630-feet over the Mississippi River. Or, you could free your inner child at the Magic House, City Museum and other kid-friendly attractions. And of course you could flirt with Lady Luck at one of the area’s five casinos including: Lumiére Place, Harrah’s, The President, Ameristar and Casino Queen. And finally you could cheer for the MLB’s Cardinals, or the NHL’s Blues or the NFL’s Rams.

Oh yeah, the Rams.Ok, last week Rams’ total offense amounted to 244 yards (167 passing and 77 rushing), but unfortunately the Seahawks’ total offense was 449 (279 passing and 170 rushing) which is 84% better than the Rams. The Seahawks sacked Bulger 3 times, but we didn’t sack Hasselbeck at all.Hasselbeck’s QB Rating was 96.3, while Bulger’s QB Rating was 63.5.And finally, the Seahawks’ best running back, J. Jones, rushed for 117 yards, while our best running back, S. Jackson, only ran for 67 yards. I almost forgot… they had 4 touch downs and we had none.

My in depth analysis has led me to the conclusion that we played poorly. For next week’s game against the Redskins my recommendations are (short of selling the team and starting over) 1) replace Bulger with Boller, 2) I’d like to see Samkon Gado get some real action at running back, and 3) every one else play better.
